Branding

Whether I’m designing a branding package for a content creator, a graphic novel, or an event, I go all out! I love to visually define what sets a brand apart. There’s always a story to tell, and the right combination of typography, illustration, and color can communicate that story.
ROLES
Senior Design Manager, Design Project Manager, Senior Creative Designer, Design Coordinator
COMPANIES
Skybound Entertainment, Tapas Entertainment, BOOM! Studios, Freelance
PROJECT TYPES
Logos
Brand & Identity
Tech Jacket is an early 2000s comic book by Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead and Invincible. When other companies showed interest in licensing the IP from Skybound, they needed a bible that could inform their apparel, toys, and other products. To meet that need, I created the official brand guide above, complete with lore, logos, typography, and a library of approved artwork. (Copywriter: Sanjeev Sirpal)
Baked by the Baroness was a webcomic published on the Tapas app in 2023. I designed the logo to hint at the comic's food-centric themes in a playful, fun way that draws the reader in.
The Beginning After The End was a hugely popular webcomic that has now become an animated series. It was translated into many different languages, and I had the privilege of creating the Spanish version.
Governess of a Tyrant was a webcomic published on the Tapas app in 2022. When designing this logo, I communicated the romantic fantasy aspects of the story with swooping, dramatic serifs and mystical shapes.
Hello Again, Ex-Husband, a webcomic published on Tapas in 2021, had a bit of a clandestine element to it. I took inspiration from the stamps used on top-secret files in series like Mission: Impossible and G.I. Joe when creating this logo.
Twin or Lose, a webcomic published on the Tapas app in 2022, made use of a popular trope involving identical twins swapping identities. I hinted at this part of the story using the "i" in Twin, and alluded to the romantic comedy with the heart in "Lose."
Forever Home is a 2021 graphic novel about an intrepid girl who convinces a menagerie of ghosts to make "their" house her home. I leaned into the youthful energy of the protagonist and the slight spookiness of the house for this logo.
ORCS! is an ongoing comic series that was first published in 2021. Christine Larsen, the creator of the comic, had a very specific vision for the logo—she wanted it to be as fuzzy and solid as the orcs themselves! I took that direction and ran with it.
The Man who Came Down the Attic Stairs, a 2019 horror graphic novel that explores the psychological terror of postpartum depression, required a very specific logo for a very specific art style. I created this logo by smoothing out my own handwriting in Illustrator.
Scotland Bound, Charlie Brown, a delightful 2021 graphic novel about the Peanuts crew, needed a logo lockup that could integrate the company wordmark. I worked with the Peanuts team to create something with a Gaelic flavor that was still fun and readable.
Alex Paniagua is a wonderful LA-based luthier who needed a logo for his business card. I created a simplified guitar headstock pinstriped with the colors of the Mexican flag to communicate what he did, as well as his aesthetic and heritage.
San Diego Comic Con happens every year, and anyone who's anyone in pop culture must attend. I helped create this logo lockup and used it for all of Skybound's SDCC marketing—social announcements, e-blasts, print materials, landing pages, etc.
Happy Tummy RJ is the Youtube channel of Rea and Jimmy, a couple that posts Korean food and restaurant reviews. I designed all of their channel graphics to suit their light and cozy content, complete with cute, personalized reaction emojis!
